Plenty of people did though. At 6:22am on Tuesday February 14th a sudden light appeared in the northwest sky. It was a sphere of light, very bright that had an explicit cone of light below it. There was no trail behind it at all. It was hovering.
Randy kept watching it – never looking away once. I tried to get campers up to come and view it. There was no sound accompanying the light.
One camper thought it was a helicopter for sure. In the 12 years I’ve been out on the planet at dawn and dusk, I have never ever seen something like this.
I am a freak about perfume for a few reasons. #1 The chemicals in them are unregulated and harmful to our health.
It is a personal choice whether to wear perfumes but, like smoking, “second-hand perfume smell” hurts others. Ever get into a small space with someone (or more than one person) wearing perfume or cologne? It’s difficult to breathe which is your own body trying to tell you something.
The FDA cannot boss the perfumers around (despite the fact that our largest organ is our epidermis…and perfume absorbs through it). The FDA is supposed to protect the citizens of the United States of America by the way.
“the National Academy of Sciences confirmed a federal interagency group’s conclusion that styrene, a chemical building block used to produce a wide variety of everyday products, can cause cancer.”reference link
Know anyone with CANCER? I have a list growing of family and friends battling (or having lost) the cancer fight. In just the last 48 hours I had TWO people (women in their 50’s) added. Pancreatic cancer that moved to the liver with an grapefruit size tumor successfully removed and pancreatic cancer that invaded the lungs and is at Stage 4 now. Nope, not smokers and not big drinkers. Try finding the INGREDIENTS of your perfume. You can’t do it – because it is PROPRIETARY and they do not reveal those secrets.
I did a little research online just curious about how many perfumes there are. I discovered an incomplete list, dating back to 1709 with 464 names of perfumes created. 201 of them were in the last 16 years.
What if you found out that your PERFUME was triggering cancer!?
#2 “No Regulations” has now lapped over into the world of animals.
They TEST THEIR CHEMICALS ON ANIMALS.
I wish perfume wearers would stop and think about that before they purchase. If you have to wear perfume, why not support Cruelty Free?
If you wouldn’t do the testing yourself, I suggest you stop supporting it immediately.
They rub the chemicals IN THE EYES OF RABBITS and/or FORCE FEED THE CHEMICALS TO MICE.
The thought of this makes me FURIOUS (to begin with).
Do things to keep from stinking: shower every day, brush your teeth, wear clean clothing.
If you workout and sweat? PLEASE don’t cover it up with perfumes or colognes. That’s like lighting a candle in the crapper – you get the essence of vanilla poop.
If you must wear perfume, cologne or use perfumed products please consider dialing it down at least (meaning just ONE small dab on one spot only).
I urge you to stop altogether. Perfumes are EXPENSIVE and you could take that money and donate it to a cause that you believe in. This website is my go-to for checking whether products are cruelty-free:
We sold our adorable 1999 Coachman Travel Trailer that smelled weird but had survived 17 years of use and TLC to purchase a 2017 Forest River Cherokee and a $20 less monthly payment.
So far it’s been a tough learning experience. The RV Spa is a place for SEASONED RV’ers not a brand new couple looking to travel across the US for the very first time.
We set off to our first camping experience where LOTS of things went wrong.
If you did not already know, RV’s are made out of paper mache. The walls are thin, the shelving is about as sturdy as a shoe box and after traveling from Simi Valley to Thornhill Broome for our Maiden Voyage we discovered how to properly fill our pantry.
This was ONE of the many problems, like I said.
We are second guessing our plans.
I’m taking this opportunity to practice my Adobe Premier CC skills (learned using YouTube for the record).
Since I began sharing my recipes and spreading the LOVE about my Instant Pot I’ve seen concerns about the pressure release.
Back in the 70’s cooking in a pressure cooker was not always safe. Pots could and would explode! The tsss-tsss-tsss sound the heavy disk made as it danced letting pressure out bit by bit was fun to watch and my mom kept it on the furthest back burner.
That sound always meant we would be eating ON THE RITZ that night.
Today, different story. I can only speak for the Instant Pot and I have a video to show you that IT IS SAFE TO RELEASE THE PRESSURE.
All it takes for AMAZING mashed or smashed potatoes.
Banana Bread – off the charts DELICIOUS Vegan, Vegetarian
This bread is not super sweet. My daughter has nut allergies so I only used a few pecans on one side of the top. Randy loves coming home after a boot camp workout to a surprise and I had these bananas staring me down for the last three days. What else was I supposed to do!?
Ingredients: 1 cup of smashed banana 2T chia seeds ⅓ cup almond-coconut creamer (or non-dairy milk) 1T coconut oil (melted) 2T maple syrup 2t vanilla extract ¼ c sugar ½ c rolled oats 1t baking soda ½ t baking powder ½ t kosher salt 1 ½ c whole wheat flour Optional: pecans on top, ¼ cup
Directions:
Lay all of your ingredients out first.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Line bread baking dish with parchment paper.
Stir chia and non-dairy milk (I used a coconut/almond milk cream I had in my fridge). Set aside.
Combine banana, chia milk blend, maple syrup, vanilla extract and coconut oil well. Really stir it up.
Add in and stir well between each ingredient: sugar, oats, baking soda, baking powder, salt. Mix it up well.
Sprinkle in flour folding and mixing.
It will be a big sticky blob – which is what you want.
Use a spoon and ¼ measuring cup to scoop and transfer mix to the parchment paper covered bread baking dish. Spread it out nicely.
Bake for 50 minutes. Remove and lightly press the middle of bread (it should push back up – if so, you are done. If not, put it in for another 5 minutes). I love my breads crusty.
Remove from dish and place on rack to cool down, 10 minutes at least. Cut and serve immediately!
BRIGHT IDEA
Have baked bread in the morning! Wake up your family (and neighbors) with the delicious wafting smell of this bread. Prepare the wet ingredients and place in airtight container the night before. Same with the dry ingredients. Mix together first thing in the morning and SHAZAM!
UPDATE (Feb 15, 2017)
I have successfully eliminated COCONUT OIL from this recipe! The bread is just fabulous.
I also added cinnamon on my last go around: “best bread so far” was the exact comment from my Husband Unit. Just sprinkle 1/4t of cinnamon up to 1/2t into the batter just before placing it into the bread dish to bake.

I found the original recipe at OhSheGlows and modified it to match what I had in my cupboard. I LOVE her website and highly recommend you visit for plenty of ideas.
